Psychotherapie der Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS) im Erwachsenenalter

Abstract

Zusammenfassung: Wenngleich in der Behandlung der Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-/Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS) im Erwachsenenalter die medikamentöse Behandlung mit Stimulanzien die Grundlage darstellt, können psychosoziale Interventionen in Kombination mit der Pharmakotherapie einen wichtigen Beitrag zur lebenslangen Bewältigung der Störung leisten. Ein multimodales Programm sollte daher Medikation und Psychotherapie umfassen. Im Beitrag soll ein Überblick zu den verschiedenen psychosozialen Behandlungsansätzen der ADHS im Erwachsenenalter und deren Wirksamkeit gegeben werden. Die Ergebnisse von Studien unterstreichen, dass in Kombination mit einer Medikation Verbesserungen der Kernsymptomatik zu erreichen sind. Aufgrund zum Teil großer methodischer Probleme der meisten Studien sind jedoch weitere kontrollierte Studien notwendig.


Psychotherapy of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Adults

Abstract: Although stimulant medication is the basis of treatment of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorders (ADHD) in adults, different psychosocial interventions can be used in combination with medication to assist in the lifetime management of the disorder. A multimodal treatment program should include medication as well as psychotherapy. This article gives an overview regarding the variety of psychosocial treatments in ADHD and current status of the effectivity of the interventions. The results of the studies suggest that psychosocial interventions used generally in conjunction with medications appear useful for adults with ADHD. Because of methodological limitations of most of the studies the data further suggest the need for additional controlled investigations.
