Abstract
Broadened Lyman- and Lyman- x-ray profiles from hydrogenic, high- radiators immersed in a hot, dense plasma are presented. Particular attention is given to broadened profiles originating in a plasma where there are two ionic species and in which ions and electrons have different temperatures. The applicability of these calculations to early laser-fusion experiments is discussed.
