Absorption cross section of small black holes

Abstract

The absorption cross section of small nonrotating black holes is calculated for massive scalar and Dirac particles. The latter cross section is shown to be exactly 18 of the former for all energies in the limit where the wavelength is larger than the Schwarzschild radius.
