Abstract: Water shortage has become the bottleneck of development of urbanization in our country. The paper applies ecological footprint of water resources in the ecological footprint theory on resources and environment in Hebei Province urbanization constraint analysis. Calculating the bearing capacity of the footprint of water resources in Hebei Province in recent years and its changes. In the thorough analysis the ecological footprint of water composition structure change, on the basis of the exploration of urbanization process and ecological footprint change of water resources in Hebei Province inner correlation, and then discusses the reduce the deficit of water resources, strengthen management of water pollution of new urbanization development pattern.
