대학생의 성취목표지향성과 진로결정 자기효능감의 관계에서 실패공포의 매개효과

The Mediating Effect of Fear of Failure in the Relationship of College Students Achievement Goal Orientation and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy

본 연구의 목적은 대학생의 성취목표지향성과 진로결정 자기효능감의 관계에서 실패공포의 매개효과를 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 대한민국 6개 시·도에 위치한 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 516명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 그 중 유학생 24부와 불성실하게 응답한 20부를 제외한 총 472부를 SPSS 22.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 성취목표지향성, 진로결정 자기효능감, 실패공포 간의 유의한 상관관계를 확인하였다. 둘째, 대학생의 성취목표지향성 중 숙달접근 목표지향성, 숙달회피 목표지향성, 수행회피 목표지향성과 진로결정 자기효능감의 관계에서 실패공포의 부분 매개효과가 나타났다. 이를 통해, 대학생의 적응적인 진로발달을 위한 보다 효과적인 개입방법은 진로결정 자기효능감에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타난 성취목표지향성을 지향하도록 직접적으로 개입하는 것이 아니라, 진로과정에서 높은 실패공포를 보일 경우 이를 먼저 해소할 수 있도록 개입하는 것이라고 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effect of fear of failure in the relationship of college students achievement goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy. Participants included 516 university students who completed the questionnaires, and 472 samples were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 program. The outcomes were as follows, First, college students achievement goal orientation, career decision-making self-efficacy, and fear of failure had significant correlations. Second, among college students achievement goal orientation, there was partial mediating effect of fear of failure in the relationship between mastery-approach goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy, the relationship between mastery-avoidance goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy, and the relationship between performance-avoidance goal orientation and career decision-making self-efficacy.
