Abstract

Aminergic components in the venom of 27 species belonging to the Vespidae and some other species belonging to the Pompilidae, the Sphecidae and the Apidae were determined by high performance liquid chromatography. Characteristic properties of the venom in each genus are presented as the patterns of ratios of amines occurring in the venom.
